Starters exam skills for your child should be noted

All candidates who take the Cambridge English Test will receive a certificate. Their achievement is shown through shield boxes (Cambridge logo) achieved on the certificate, with a maximum of 5 shields for each Listening, Reading & Writing, Speaking skill. Listen carefully to instructions.
At the beginning of each section, you will hear 1 or 2 examples.
Stay calm - each part is heard twice, so if you miss the answers the first time, you will have a chance to listen again at the second time.
You don't need to spell words correctly if in the process they don't spell that word for you.
Please reinforce that you know the vocabulary, grammar and structure in Starters level syllabus, including common sentences that you will hear in recordings like Pardon? Sorry? Right.

Reading Skills When taking the starters test
Write and spell words correctly. Do not use sporadic writing, unclear words, so that you will lose points.
Read the instructions carefully and write the correct number of words for each question. (Usually at this level I just fill in 1 word or 1 NUMBER in the blank)

When Speaking Exam In Starters test

Stay calm. The judges will help you get the best results possible. Remember to say Hello (say Hello) and say My name’s ... (Child's name) when asked. Remember to say Thank you and Goodbye at the end of the exam.
Listen carefully and pay attention to what the judges ask you to do or say.
